Vladimir Kontarev is Music Director and Conductor of the Russian State Chamber Choir.
His choral conducting has earned him wide acclaim of music professionals,critics,and
audiences both at home and abroad.
Mr.Kontarev’s repertoire includes choral works by composers as diverse as
Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, Cesar Frank,
Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninov,Sergei Taneyev, Georgy Sviridov,Rodion Shchedrin...

Vladimir Kontarev He is a fine interpreter of both classical and contemporary scores,displaying a remarkable
ability to reveal the inner spirit of music heperforms.
Critics praise Mr.Kontarev for his refined
musical taste (which manifests itself, among other things, in the choice of repertoire), his
highly expressive conducting style, and the subtly beautiful singing of choirs under his baton.
Kontarev’s appearances receive extensive coverage in the media; his interpretations are released on major recording labels.

Since 1991 is the art director and the main conductor of the State chamber chorus.
The collective conducts an intensive concert life, takes part in large international philharmonic projects and musical festivals, cooperates with the known Russian and foreign concert organizations, sound recording firms and the producer companies.
